Quality Assurance Manager

Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance as based upon defined standards agreed upon by the client and the Company.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Drafts quality assurance policies and procedures

  2. Interprets and implements quality assurance standards

  3. Evaluates adequacy of quality assurance standards

  4. Devises sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data

  5. Reviews the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems

  6. Plans, conducts and monitors testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality

  7. Documents internal audits and other quality assurance activities

  8. Investigates customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and effectively communicates internally and externally with the appropriate parties to resolve issues

  9. Collects and compiles statistical quality data

  10. Analyzes data to identify areas of improvement in the quality system

  11. Develops, recommends and monitors corrective and preventive actions

  12. Prepares reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities

  13. Identifies training needs and organizes training interventions to meet quality standards

  14. Coordinates and supports on-site audits conducted by external providers

  15. Evaluates audit findings and implements appropriate corrective actions

  16. Monitors risk management activities

  17. Responsible for document management systems

  18. Assures ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

  19. Performs other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor degree preferred

  • Certifications an advantage: Internal Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma

  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or similar aerospace quality systems

  • Risk analysis experience

  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs

  • Product or industry-specific experience (manufacturing, metal fabrication, aerospace)

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases

  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of Lean processes a plus

 

Compensation of the Quality Assurance Manger 

Pay 50k-60k DOE
