QC inspector shall be responsible for the Receiving, 1st Piece and Final Inspections of materials, parts and assemblies for conformance to predetermined standards, specifications, drawings, tolerances and quality procedures. He/she will follow established inspection guidelines to conduct critical visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, materials and assemblies.
3 to 5 years minimum QC experience in machining and metal fabrication.
Must be able to speak English along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools and equipment such as gages, meters, calipers and micrometers; CMM experience a major plus.
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints, perform basic math and apply GD&T principles.
Must be able to perform complex and critical inspection procedures which may require special set-up of new or unique equipment.
Ability to interpret Engineering specification sheets to obtain product information with regards to materials, dimensions and cosmetic requirements.
Must be able to work well alone, with a team and with minimal supervision.
Must be self-motivated, possess analytical skills and perform duties with great attention to detail.
Experience working in an ISO9001 environment.
Excellent knowledge of all Windows PC applications.
Will verify conformity of all incoming, in-process and completed product, components and assemblies by conducting visual and dimensional checks per applicable drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
Will document inspection results, complete reports and logs and input data into quality database.
Will accurately perform and complete First Article Inspection Reports.
Must be able to bend, stoop, push and stand for long periods of time with the ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
Occasionally perform routine quality audits of controlled manufacturing areas for material identification, traceability, equipment calibration etc., document results and create reports under the direction of the Quality Manager.
Determine methods of inspection to be used, perform complex set-ups to support the component qualification process.
Will document results of inspection findings including detailed descriptions/discrepancies and monitor corrective actions implemented to inspection findings.
Build and promote effective working relationships with cross-functional groups.
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
